The 3D2N is the itinerary that most people mean when they say “Komodo boat trip”. It is long enough to reach Manta Point and the dragon-ranger trek on Komodo Island without the schedule feeling like a checklist, and short enough to fit either side of a Bali stay. Cabins and per-person open-trip prices

All eight cabins sit on the main deck, all have a private bathroom, and all are air-conditioned. What separates them is bed size, whether you get a balcony, and whether the window gives a sea view or a porthole.

Who the three-day route suits

It works best for first-time visitors who want the headline sites in one pass, for couples with a fixed Bali-to-Flores window, and for groups of eight to eighteen who want a private boat without committing a week. Two nights on board is also long enough to find out whether you like sleeping at anchor, which is useful information before booking anything longer.

Step up to the 4D3N version of this route if you want Rangko Cave, Seraya and Sabolo or Bidadari added, if you are travelling with children who need a slower pace, or if you are coming a long way and would rather not spend a third of the trip in transit. If your window is genuinely tight, the two-day version is on the short escape page, but note that Manta Point and Taka Makassar are not on it.

Komodo National Park entrance and activity fees are not part of the cruise price and are settled separately. Operator-published figures across 2025 and 2026 have ranged from roughly IDR 150,000 to IDR 350,000 per person per day, with higher weekend and holiday tiers, and the structure has been revised more than once. 2026 departure dates

Open-trip windows run in every month of 2026. Full month-by-month dates are on the sailing schedule, and per-cabin availability is on open-trip cabin prices. As a rule the calm-sea window is May to early October, with June, July and September the most reliable; late January to early March is the windiest stretch and carries a genuine risk of a route change.
