Komodo Open Trip, Shared Cabin Prices

The Short Answer

What “Shared” Actually Means Here

On Catnazse the open trip sells cabins. Every one has its own bathroom and air conditioning, and nobody is put in with you. What you share is the boat — deck, dining table, tender and guide — with the other guests on board.

Prices run USD 430 to 680 per person for the 3D2N in 2026 and USD 460 to 770 in 2027, depending on which cabin you take. Park fees are settled separately.

The only genuine shared-occupancy option is inside the two four-berth Grandis cabins, and it is optional and priced separately: USD 470 sharing a double bed and USD 450 sharing single beds in 2026, USD 490 and USD 480 in 2027.

The 3D2N Route

Where a Shared Departure Goes

Kelor Island
Day 1

Kelor Island

The first stop out of Labuan Bajo. A short climb, then the photo session everyone starts the trip with.

Kalong Island
Day 1

Kalong Island

Sunset, then thousands of flying foxes lifting off the mangroves at once.

Padar Island
Day 2

Padar Island

Climbed at 06:00, before breakfast. Three bays, one ridge, the best light of the day.

Pink Beach
Day 2

Pink Beach

Crushed red coral against turquoise. Snorkel straight off the tender.

Komodo Island
Day 2

Komodo Island

A ranger-guided trek at Loh Liang. Dragons on their own ground.

Manta Point
Day 2

Manta Point

Karang Makassar, where the current brings the mantas through.

Taka Makassar
Day 2

Taka Makassar

A sandbar that surfaces with the tide. An hour, all of it photographed.

Sebayur Island
Day 3

The last swim of the trip, before lunch and the run back to Labuan Bajo.

Picking a Departure

Open-trip windows run in every month of 2026. The operator’s recommended season is March to December; physical demand across the three days is moderate, with two short island treks.

Cabins sell individually, so a date can be open for a Grandis and gone for a Santalum on the same week.
